MENDIOLA FC 1991

A CLUB WITH NOSTALGIC HISTORY

In 1991, the San Beda College (SBC) Football Team based in Mendiola, Manila, took part in a league organized by Ateneo de Manila’s Chris Monfort. SBC football coaches Aris Caslib and Felix Servita (also a coach of the champion Philippine Navy team) decided to invite players from other schools to reinforce San Beda’s lineup. This initiative gave birth to Mendiola Football Club 1991, which at present, is the oldest club in the Philippines Football League.
